Taking the Bait: Of Salt, Start-Ups, Financial Numbers and Insurance

Since closing in November for the long blizzard of a winter that never arrived, we mined some salt from the sea, posted a business plan for expansion to Brooklyn, and detailed the delay games of insurance companies. Lovely readers had things to say about each and every move, and we loved fielding their questions and observations.

Corruption – $15,000. Protection Fee – 5% of your gross. Customer base of 2.5 million people – Priceless. — George, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.

George,
You can take the boy out of Brooklyn, but … this is the New Brooklyn, George, just like the New Smyrna Beach.
